Join the Leeds Community Cycling Club

We don't currently have any membership fees.
The only precondition for membership is that you confirm your intention to practice our values of fellowship and solidarity, i.e. you promise to treat anyone you encounter through the club with the friendship and support that you'd hope to be receive yourself.
Other than that, the only things you need to do in order to join the Leeds Community Cycling Club (L3C) are to:
- Contact us
- Give us your email address — so we can contact you
- Join any ride or event you see listed on this site
Pay As You Can
If we ever do need to raise money from members, it will be on a Pay as you can basis.
So, for those under economic pressure, membership of our club will always will be free (gratis).
On the other hand, this model of financing is only sustainable, if members on above average incomes put more than an equal share into the pot. We see that as a practical expression of our values of cycling fellowship and solidarity.
National Affiliations, Insurance and Legal Help
Some of us would like our club to affiliate to national organisations, like Cycling UK and the National Clarion Cycling Club. That's partly in order to express our solidarity with cyclists beyond Leeds and, partly, to provide our members with benefits like bike insurance.
No decision has yet been made on affiliations, but if we do ever go ahead with them, those members with 'the broadest shoulders' will bear the costs.
